Just picked this up, 2012 Scott 29 Elite

Will let you guys know how she rides, I just want to get the shop to upgrade the crank to SLX. They sold it to me as having SLX/XT groupset but the crank is Deore (cheap skates at Scott)

Anyone have a 3x10 SLX or XT crank/chainset for me?

thumbup1.gifBeen having dreams about the bike since I saw it on the back of Bicycling Mag. May I ask what you paid for it??

It is a Scale. Price was R12870.00 at Westdene so Cajees did it for R12800.00 to get the sale

11.8kg on a 29er with pedals doesn't sound too bad to me for the price

Taking to mtb Chris?

CWC has some crankset options:

Shimano XT 10 Spd Crankset (M770) 853 g R1 800.00

Check the bb compatibility though (BB30?)

Give it a whirl at the Crater Cruise ... those big wheels going to roll nicely over the corrugations.

+1 Ricky Bobby

Nice bike, but it appears to be ginormous! You sure it is a 29", or maybe they let slip of their prototype 32"?

Many happy miles! Are you going to join the "puffadder" group on Saturday mornings now?

Is the Scott Spark Elite 29er selling already and at what price?

RRP - R20999 if I'm not mistaken. See back cover of Bicycling Mag
