After a year of doing this 4-5 times a week, my calves are still not strong enough.

I reckon a 2 year adaption process.

As an aside, I found Innov8 to be k@k.

Really? I find them abolutely phenomenal and have never been happier in these shoes. Of course its different strokes (or strikes!) for different folks, but I'd be interested to hear what specifically you find k@k about them.

The topic heading is barefoot running which = forefoot striking .

The Innov8 I reckon is designed with the midfoot strike in mind .

What is wrong with that? @You speak like somebody who does not know where his food comes from.

Try barefoot running (minimalist shoes, sandals, Vibrama, etc) and running becomes fun again ;-)

Clearly the ;) was lost on you but ja have a lekka day anyway

I saw it ;) but elected to focus on the other part of the message.

My day will be great thanks. It will end with a barefoot run :D

One of the reasons I elect to spend more time on the pinkblouse.com website rather than here :(

As a runner that has always run in "proper" running shoes, it certainly has been an eye opener reading born to run.
