scotty Posted September 23, 2011 Share This was mentioned on the SC show a few weeks back and deemed to be flat, well the old one was but I've done sections of the new route and flat it is not, if when the wind blows it will be quite a challenge. Well organized and marshaled this race marks the start of my road training for 94.7.
stan the man Posted September 27, 2011 Share Is this road not used mostly by Trucks?
JacoS Posted September 27, 2011 Share Have ridden the Devon Nigel section, and while it has some trucks wasn't too bad. I don't know if the work on the Nigel/Delmas road up to the N17 has diverted more trucks to the Devon road...Gotta love coal trucks.

cyclingfan Posted September 30, 2011 Share Yes it is timed by champion chip. Totally new route and new sponsors. The route is not as flat as the previous one. We are doing our best to make it as safe as possible.

scotty Posted October 22, 2011 Share For a claimed flat race it was quite tough, undulating and no place to recover as even on the flats and downhill you had to fight the wind. Nice route and i found the roads were in good condition. Pity about the few numbers turnout but with clashing with the Jacaranda race it was expected. Thanks to the orgs, marshals, the escort by the Helivac guys and the Spot prizes sponsors.

scotty Posted October 22, 2011 Share Coulda told ya that. Course was my old training ground as schools rider.Ha you had plenty of time to mention it. No big climbs but gradual rolling climbs which hurt after a while.
