The 2012 Royal Drakensberg Mountain Bike Challenge and Family Fun Day/Weekend in the Amphitheatre area of the Northern Drakensberg will take place on Saturday & Sunday 2nd & 3rd June, 2012. The event is a fund raiser for, and all monies raised will go to the Royal Drakensberg Primary School. (Visit www.royal-drakensberg.org.za for more information about the school and the MTB event)

 

Next year the event will be much bigger and better. As well as the 40km challenge, 20km and the 10km family ride to be held on the Sunday, a bike gymkhana, an afternoon family ride to the river for tea and scones and a night ride are planned for the Saturday. At the adjacent All Out Adventures exciting activities suitable for the whole family, such as, flying trapeze, tree top cable tour, bungee bounce, king swing and zip line are available, plus food and drinks stalls and a very popular addition last year, the children’s “Play zone”.
