The routes split at the Klapmuts 4-way stop where the 45km route turns left and heads back to Paarl. The 80km route proceeds straight at the 4-way stop taking cyclists into Stellenbosch and over the new Helshoogte pass before returning to Paarl via the R310/R45 T-junction with both routes finishing on Berg River Boulevard. Apart from the one climb on the 80km, both of these routes are relatively flat, with some undulating rolling terrain. Cyclists doing the 13km untimed route will head out along the outskirts of Paarl, before returning to finish along Berg River Boulevard. This route is completely flat and is perfect for beginners or children accompanied by and adult.
