Going price for a 2007 Mongoose Tyax

Hi Hubbers,

I am trying to get an idea of what I can get for my 2007 Mongoose Tyax as I have upgraded to a dual suspension bike and the goose is gathering dust.

2007 Silver Mongoose Tyax (Medium)

Suntour fork with remote lock was serviced last year

Sram X-5 all round with a brand new rear shifter.

Brand new Avid juicy 3 brakes.

Alex rims

Conti Mountain king 2.4 tubless back and front stans conversion kit ridden on for 6 months.

The frame is in good condition but has the usual cable rub marks.

At the last serivce in the beginning of the year the rear casette and the bottom bracket were changed.

I am just trying to work out what a fair price would be to ask for the bike.

Cheers!

Here's shot in the dark.

If you kept the bike standard in good shape- it woulda went for R2500-R3000. Considering the upgrades to tubeless and recent fork service- i'd reckon somewhere around R4k would do it. Remember the bike is 4 years (almost 5) old, so do expect a big drop in market value.

Hope it helps :)

Thanks Lamber!

It was a great help!

I was not expecting much over R3500, I have got a lot of enjoyment out of the bike and anything over that would feel cheeky.. ;)
