tazman Posted January 20, 2012 Share Is it advisable to try to get a cracked welded up on a road frame?and if so, where can I get it done?
Wannabe Posted January 20, 2012 Share Nope, been discussed before. Do a search and all will be revealed. Cracked my frame also, had to bin the frame. Alu bike frames is heat treated, and welding it creates more soft / brittle areas next to the weld, where it will crack / break again.
