Willehond Posted January 2, 2008 Share I decided to give my bike a complete clean and while at it I replaced the handlebar tape, derailleur pulleys and greased/lubed everything. I also want to replace the stem bolts because they are rusted and look ugly. I went to Action Cycles at Canal Walk and they looked at me like I was mad when I asked for six new ones. They were even more bemused when I asked about Titanium bolts (wow, do they exist?). They suggested I go to a hardware store to buy some. My question is am I wasting my time going to bike shops asking for these allen bolts or am I being fobbed off? Where can I get them? Also, how do I keep them nice and clean without rusting badly?
