And updated. Mudguards will come when it’s wetter.

Loving that green, yellow and tan combo.

What size tyres did you put on there ?

How will that leather saddle hold up over time in the wet weather ?
I am looking around a Cambium saddle, which is supposedly All Weather (and tougher than I am)

Had to drop from 28s to 25s to get mudguards on. It’s a shame, and it feels like I have teleported back to 1972 on them. (Been on 30c on my Factor for a while now).

As to the leather saddle in this weather, Brooks seems to be very popular here, it’s always wet here in winter, so based on that quaggaesque logic, I am 100% sure it will be fine. To be fair, I wanted the Cambian but they didn’t have a one in tan in the shop….

cyclelab.

havent used it yet. the idea was that its small enough to tuck into my carry on luggage to take it to cape town. Yes I cleaned and lubed my chain before the bike was sent down, but it wont hurt to add a bit more lube when I collect the bike on saturday.

initial thoughts.

I'd have preferred a flat base on the  bottle, that way it could stand on its own.

It has a pin in the cap that inserts into the little opening so it is supposed to seal it so lube doesnt drop out. I like that.

The two "guides" on the side are also meant to take off excess gunk from the sides of the chain. that might mean things get a little messy.

2 extra "guides" are supplied.

still have not used it.

It went with me to cape town and back. Going down it did not seem to leak, coming back it leaked.

fortunately I had it in a plastic bag, not sure if it go squashed in the luggage or it was the air pressure or what, but most of the lube has leaked out into the bag.

2 straps have died on me (only the straps though).  Was looking at the Pro, but the price.

The Pro better make me a pre-ride coffee for that price. I would rather buy two. The straps take a beating no doubt.
