Matt Posted August 7, 2012 Share “Skizo” guaranteed his Olympic spot when he finished 3rd at the BMX World Champs in Taiyuan, China in 2008, backing this remarkable achievement by finishing as vice-champion in the 2008 European Champs. In 2009, the young South African set a new record by winning 6 straight finals in a row. Leading the European Champs for most of the season, Nhlapo suffered a major setback when he broke his neck in a training accident, and could not race the last four rounds, costing him the title that year. Multiple SA champion and BMX hero Sifiso Nhlapo will begin the first of his racing heats in the Men’s BMX Seeding Run at the BMX track in the north of the Olympic Park on Wednesday 08 August. The quarter finals are on Thursday 09 August, with the Semi Finals and Final to be held on Friday 10 August. See Sifiso's full profile below from Cycling South Africa.
