Good idea and I think the R180 000 fine or 9 years imprisonment should also hopefully be a good deterrent!

... and every weekend night, for the duration of sentence, they should be made to do 2 hour rides on a bicycle via routes notorious for drunk/negligent driving... worst offenders should be made to do so without a tail-light.

Just an update on Andre Gouws' case

He was found guilty in December 2014 and was sentenced to an effective 5 years on 27 February 2015.

His bail has extended as he as appealed the sentence.

so a 7 year term..2 suspended already.
