Scooterza Posted October 22, 2012 Share Hey - can anyone recommend any good road rides (or even MTB rides) to do before 94.7? Want to get in at least one more good road ride before the event and time is running out!

Agteros Posted October 23, 2012 Share bit late, just go ride your bike anywhere and everywhereAdding to this. Now is the time to sharpen your training / start thinking about tapering down your training.I've just done the Satellite Classic, doing the Sondela Super Classic this weekend, and then the OFM the weekend after that. One weekend of easy riding and then the 94.7. Edited October 23, 2012 by robox

scotty Posted October 23, 2012 Share There's a MTB race in Heidelberg Sat, same distance and ascent as Suikerbos. Â https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/121135-2012-jcp-steel-octoberfest-mtb-challenge-heidelberg-gauteng/
W@nna-BE Posted October 23, 2012 Share Do the 60km loop at Suikerbosrand nature reserve !
HappyMartin Posted October 23, 2012 Share I'm doing the Berg and Bush. That ought to do it. Actually SBR is a good call. Whatever my time for SBR I add half an hour and that is close to my 94 time
Ha Ha Kieran Posted October 23, 2012 Share Definitely a 60km loop of SBR is needed! Great training but even better venue
Scooterza Posted October 26, 2012 Share Thanks for teh responses. I have entered the Midvaal race. There is something about the intensity of riding in a race that riding on your own (eg at Suikerbosrand) won't give you. (or that's my experience).
