We started in C and did 2h40, which isn't bad for a 14 year old in his first long road race. It's a scary race in places though, on the way through Pneil(?), crossing those brick sections, someone braked hard in front of us. The whole bunch just skidded and some guy behind me hit a bike or the pavement. Went down hard judging by the sound. Didnt know you were a hubber!? I chirped your boy just before Helz started properly, when he asked if that was the climb. You also told him not to bother about okes going up hell for leather, as you'll catch them as soon as the start to tire. You must've been the kid in the Maties kit? really well ridden - impressive to stay out in front for those long turns, towing an old timer like me builds character!
