I like some of those songs, but I'd never have them on my player for a training ride!

Ja nee, dis maar min kilos, hey, for someone his size. Remember he has some structural metal also in that chassis after his career-defining crash.

How much more does he need to lose to beat the likes of Roglic, Pogachar, Bernal? Bernal is 60kg, so close to 9?

Bernal is more than 10 centimeters shorter than Froome. For Froome to weigh the same as him, he would probably suffer from  power loss and all sorts of health issues as well.

Froome was always around 67 kgs thereabouts when he was in his prime with a team of hand-picked sherpas and time trial specialists, the best in the world. Never underestimate the power of team support. This will be a definitive TdF for him as he had, roughly 24 months to recover, rehab and restore optimal performance.

seems like 147lb = 66kg is where he has been in paris

It's unlikely he'd start the tour that low though. Probably closer to 69 and lose some over the three weeks.

Weight means nothing without throwing in the power. And VO2. And VAM ????

Watts/kg is the most important.

w/kg is only a lab number.

VAM is the best real world number in my opinion.
