Squid game I thoroughly enjoyed but not in a popcorn and coke matinee kind of way.

reminded me a lot of a movie called the platform.

and proving that good entertainment is not not only an American/uK thing.

Little bit unrelated, but I find it hilarious how people who watch adult cartoons like Archer etc. and also watch dubbed or subbed foreign shows still refuse to watch (the equivalent more adult/darker) anime.

But defs agreed, streaming has opened us up to a world of shows that most never knew existed and are brilliant.
As long as you can read or tolerate the dubs.

And as a bonus perk, really helps you to learn a language if you are already trying to learn it by watching that country's content.

Three eps available. Sucked in from the first ep. Great start!

I was really getting into it before I found out that there is no Season 2.
So a very loose end to Season 1 ????

I watch this a a light filler between the more serious stuff. If you like food (who doesn't?) this is worthwhile. Phil is also a really likable presenter.

I somehow managed to start on S4

I agree. I especially like that he doesn't take himself too seriously. Many foodies get way to pretentious. I love how he relates to people and how he is willing to try any food, no matter what culture it is from or how weird it may seem.

I love his expressions when he tastes something he likes.
