Modders AECI Sale?

I caught the back end of a discussion on Money Web the other evening about AECI selling it's land in Modderfontein and Somerset West.Anyone know anything about this?

Been on-going for at least a year - they are parcelling out the land to developers over time.

A lot of it is conservation area so I'm not sure they can sell all of it.

AECI own more than just the land Modders reserve/trail network is on, they also own large tracts of land surrounding the reserve.

Apparently the land around the Modders conservation area will be developed over time.

One of the unique selling points for prospective housing/business development will be the eco construction of estate type housing and the Modderfontein reserve being an area for conservation, environmental and recreational use. Such as birding, pick nicking, trails etc ...

Also will be a large 'low cost' housing development somewhere. An area of Greenstone was earmarked for low cost housing, but fortunately it never happened. Heartland is the property arm of AECI.
