Marc Perel Posted July 18, 2013 Share At every local race, we all think it. Who here is good enough to race overseas? Not just ride, but race. Back yourself. Go all in. Let your legs do the talking. Martin Wesemann is there. Doing it. Nic Lamond [of Privateer.co.za] feeds Martin caffeine to find out what it takes. Stefmyster Posted July 18, 2013 Share Very good article and some great insight into just how tough this sport is. Very proud of where SA cycling is going, keep it up guys(and girls!)!
LeTurbo Posted July 23, 2013 Share Very lekker. But hey, Africa ain't for sissies either. One day (and not too far away, I hope) we'll have our own boykies up there on the main podiums.
Marc Perel Posted August 8, 2013 Share So yesterday Martin made us proud & spent 125km in a two man break ahead of the main field at the Tour of Utah! http://www.cyclingnews.com/races/tour-of-utah-2013/stage-2/results What a ride. It's a pitty that he couldn't pull off the win, but I guess the odds were against the breakaway duo. Lucky Luke.
kosmonooit Posted August 8, 2013 Share Yea, watched that on http://thetourtracker.com last night, he sure gave it horns in the break up the final climb, and won the most combative rider of the day jersey. Quite a big oke though ...
Lucky Luke. Quite a big oke though ... Somewhere north of 80kg and quite big shoulders with it, but he makes it all count - only Jan Ullrich has scored better power numbers at SSISA - at least that was the case a couple years back..
