Super_mil Posted July 30, 2013 Share Figured I might as well just start the next thread now... PLEASE NOTE THAT THE EVENTS DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO 8 SEPTEMBER 2013 TO ACCOMMODATE THE LONG WEEKEND So the venue for the second race will be Thaba Trails. The track is the most recent addition to the Gauteng DH scene and was constructed by Wendell & his crew for the Gauteng National held in May 2013. Once again it is a trail bike friendly route with optional lines around all the major obstacles. Below is a run I did prior to the National, to give you an idea of the track... http://vimeo.com/66540374 Date : 8 September 2013Venue : Thaba Trails DH trackCost : R150 per rider Also please check out "Gauteng Downhill Mountain Bike Series" on FB for more details and banter Edit to add: If you require more info feel free to e-mail gpdownhillmtb@gmail.com See my post on page #2 regarding the reason for the postponement. Google Posted July 30, 2013 Share You realise that makhulu means big. and thus it would want bigger wheels. I actually think a 29er would do really well on this course though with only like 3 hard corners up top and lots of peddling

2teeth Posted August 1, 2013 Share Is it just my phone or can't you guys see the video? I also can't see the one that was with the track of helderkruins when it was built. I can't watch at work due to restrictions.

I can't watch at work due to restrictions. Both are from Vimeo, not YouTube, so that's probably why you can't see them on your phone. EDIT: If you like I can describe it in words for you.... 2teeth Posted August 1, 2013 Share My phone usually does Vimeo fine. I guess I will need to come ride the tracks myself.
