Coffee shops: winners and losers

Holy-thread-rival, batman!

Nomad Restaurant on Bottelary Rd.

R25 for a small breakfast (bacon, scrambled eggs, grilled tomato and toast) and a coffee.

For those who don't want bacon, it can be replaced with mushrooms.

Tiger's Milk Stellenbosch

R29 breakfast special (bacon, one egg and a cooked tomato) with a cappuccino.

Is Nomad still open?  I cycle Bottelary often and have yet to catch them open this year

Edit:  I love Red Roof on the corner of Bottelary and the R304.  The coffee is excellent and I usually have the "cyclist breakfast"

Indeed they are. Our cycling group stopped there this past Sunday after our ride for fuelling up before heading back home.

Ground Central near Builders in Somerset West. Owner is a cyclist.

I met the owner on a ride, and the coffee is lekker. My go-to for beans.

Aroma in Lynnwood, Pta. Hands down best coffee ever - fullstop. And it's located nicely if you are on your way out to Rosemary or the district roads for a long ride.

In Stellenbosch - Deluxe Coffee Worx (Smitswinkel).

Stopped at Bootleggers in Bakhoven on Sunday, their iced coffee was spectacular... or I was just dehydrated. Either way, it demanded a second glass

Yoh this thread revival, I was fresh out of school and never even heard of bike hub in 2006.

Thrupps at the total in senderwood, even has some bike stands outside. M&B karaglen is where our club gathers after rides.

Must say there aren't any signs of the logo or anything. So it is easy to miss.

Seattle Coffee at Newmarket Mall - a regular stop at the end of club rides.

Have been frequenting them since the day they opened in November 2015 - and consumed many, many Grande Cups of Chino ever since.

Also frequent a SC at Caltex on Friday coffee rides as the Newmarket Mall one doesn’t open in time.
