Matt Posted October 16, 2013 Share Hi all, We received the following message today (16 October 2013) from Table View SAPS: Is it possible to send out this warning to cyclists on your website. Cyclists not to use the New Sanddown Road and Potsdam Road in Table View, as they are being robbed and attacked. We experienced an increase in incidences that are reported. All cyclists to be aware and if possible to use a detour. If you're in the area rather take a detour. Ride Safe!

'Dale Posted August 28, 2014 Share I see a lot of cyclists / runners using this road now since it was opened, anyone have a bad experience lately? or can we declare this road (relatively) safe again? I roll it consistently.Never had any issues. It is a highly used link road now to the N7 say than a few years ago. With increase in traffic activity, I reckon it is cool now. dwrph Posted October 22, 2017 Share Not so safe again! Attempted Bike-Jacking this morning at 6:15am, on me and a mate on Sandown, going towards our awesome TB trails. So 3 guys walked casually in our direction, I did not think anything about it and as we got close they kicked me of my bike. Tuck and roll for me, phone, etc went flying. They grabbed my phone, pulled a knife out on my mate, then grabbed our bikes. Then we got very lucky, a Metro car came around the bend and approached us and they got spooked and ran for the woods. They got away with my phone, i have a couple of bruises, but we were very lucky in the end of the day! Here is the location it happened: https://www.google.com/maps?q=-33.801186,18.535864&hl=en&gl=za&shorturl=1 Be care-full out there guyz.
anybody seen george? Posted October 22, 2017 Share Glad you got away from the incident ok'ish. For this very reason I rather drive to tb trails from Sunningdale. Drive this road daily and never looks safe, always dodgy... MBMtbGirl
