The profile on the shimano 11 speed cassette differs to the 10 speed setup. The inner profile is smaller on 11 speed.

Its the hub that comes with the 404 firecrest, I'll check what the code is. I see its available on the zipp website. But it needs to come from the states, bleh!

That's strange.

I have just fitted the 11 speed Ultegra cassette on my Carbones with no problems.

i read somewhere that 10spd mavic hubs are predisposed to 11 spd compatibility: just requires the removal of a spacer. Gummi, did u remove a spacer?

I had the freewheel on my EA90 slx machined down to fit the duraace 9000.

myth confirmed ! :P  Thanks G-bear

I'll look tomorrow and compare the 10 and 11 speed cassettes.

It's about a 2 mm red spacer.

Would be interesting to see a photo of what was done.

Get your local engineering shop to machine the difference off your free wheel body, then it will be 10 and 11sp compatible. Had the free wheel body, on me Easton EA70's machined down and works out cheaper than a new unit.

sounds about right as the difference between the 11spd and 10spd cassettes is about 1.8mm.
