BMXER Posted November 8, 2013 Share The profile on the shimano 11 speed cassette differs to the 10 speed setup. The inner profile is smaller on 11 speed.
Meezo Posted November 8, 2013 Share Its the hub that comes with the 404 firecrest, I'll check what the code is. I see its available on the zipp website. But it needs to come from the states, bleh!
Meezo Posted November 8, 2013 Share http://www.zipp.com/accessories/detail.php?ID=16732 And http://www.zipp.com/support/identify/hub_timeline.php So I've got the silver hubs with the red end caps, which is the 188 hubs.
gummibear Posted November 8, 2013 Share The profile on the shimano 11 speed cassette differs to the 10 speed setup. The inner profile is smaller on 11 speed. That's strange. I have just fitted the 11 speed Ultegra cassette on my Carbones with no problems.
Capricorn Posted November 8, 2013 Share i read somewhere that 10spd mavic hubs are predisposed to 11 spd compatibility: just requires the removal of a spacer. Gummi, did u remove a spacer?

Antoo Posted November 8, 2013 Share Get your local engineering shop to machine the difference off your free wheel body, then it will be 10 and 11sp compatible. Had the free wheel body, on me Easton EA70's machined down and works out cheaper than a new unit.
