News bot Posted May 4, 2014 Share Fortune smiled on Johann Rabie and Gawie Combrinck as they rode safely into Scottburgh to claim their maiden win in the nine-day Old Mutual joBerg2c mountain bike race on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast on Saturday. Guest Posted May 5, 2014 Share About 2 years ago I posted looking for a help for a young guy who lived out on the farms where I live. He rode his first Mtb event 45Km on an old road bike he borrowed. Over the year he showed huge enthusiasm for the sport and upgraded to an old Haro. He desprately was looking for a sponsor and never gave up, he trained by himself out on the farms with little or no nutrition and zero technical backup. I tried unsuccessfully to find someone to take him on but on his own accord he found Martin Dreyer at Change A Life. he is the same young guy in the photo 231A behind the winners coming in a 5th place on the day. Well done Sbu. TBone7 WP
