Yusran Posted May 26, 2014 Share How about this for a Hout Bay CX/Crit route? http://bicyclegear.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/CX-Crit.jpg Looks like most epic fun! Count me in if this happens
gummibear Posted May 26, 2014 Share actually its frittes... lots of people start out riding cx on a mtb. then you get a cross bike, then tubs, then another bike, then more wheels for different tyre choices.. its an expensive habit in europe ....and you need a second bike so that one gets cleaned while you ride the other. No CX race is held without schnapps (to warm up from the freezing weather),waffles and frites.

leona Posted May 26, 2014 Share dry warm cross is just wrong.. I've never enjoyed a dry cross race. the more mud the better! no ice though..that just hurts
Thug Posted May 26, 2014 Share Why not start your own races in CT? Our first race of the season was yesterday afternoon and it will be a once a month occurrence. All you need initially is a 1-2km track with obstacles that makes it compulsory to climb off your bike and carry it over them. Get it started, build the numbers and then refine it. BernardG Posted January 16, 2015 Share How much longer still, anything i can do to help? Yes, any update on CX racing starting in CPT. Really want to buy a CX bike, but need a reason to justify it! Would be cool if they get this going. Maybe one of the big brand bring a few bikes and one can test them.
BernardG Posted January 16, 2015 Share Surely there must be quite a few people that would be interested in CX races in Cape Town/Stellenbosch/Northern Suburbs area. I have been eyeing CX racing out for a few years now, hoping that there would be a formal start to some races.
