Decent components those. pretty much equivalent to SLX/XT in Shimano terms

Probably not. I doubt you'd notice a thing. Not worth the money IMHO, rather ride it and upgrade something else, like your wheelset.

Absolute junk. Especially the X9.

Throw it away.

In fact, I'll just take them from you and save you the hassle.

Ok, in all seriousness, nothing wrong with them, good and solid.

Keep. For the most part bikes specc'd with x7/9 would usually do far better with a wheel upgrade, (assuming that the wheels) are of a similar pecking order.

I'm riding X9 on the Rocky Mountain and I've got no real reason to go up to X0

Spez or Cannondale, they like to mix X7/X9? Don't know why they don't just make the bike R500-R750 more and make full X9. Irks me.

In any case, the X9 is awesome, what you could probably do is just upgrade the X7 shifters they usually sneak in to X9, because you would notice a difference there, but do it in your own time as fun spoil yourself upgrade down the line... next major upgrade could be the brakes, if they gave you 5 or 7 series brakeset then it's going to suck.

Wheels on Spez or Cannondale are usually not too bad on X7/9 level bikes.

Nothing wrong with SRAM. My previous bike came with X7/X9 mix and I was happy as can be. I never had any problems with the components. You would feel the biggest difference on the wheels, or even use your money for a tubeless conversion or something...

I eventually upgraded to basically full X0 on my new bike with XX shifters. I am loving this combination!!!

Nothing wrong with that combo. Like everyone said, rather upgrade something else.

I was on full XT on my last full sus. My new Epic has X0 and X9 and I have found them incredibly smooth, more so than the XT. The new bike is only about 200kms old so I still need to see how they perform over the long run, but all the views out there suggest that SRAM don't need to be tinkered with half as often as Shimano. Once set, they hold position.

Hold on to the SRAM and upgrade wheelset or brakes.

Must say I have been using XO on most of my bikes and have never had an issue. XT is good too but I have had many issues as soon as the conditions get really bad....SRAM click click like a BIC ;)

Just a personal pref that has proven itself for me.

Must say on the brakes side I am not impressed with the XO's. XTs and Maguras that I ran before were much better but think I must swop them for Hope ;)

Shimano is for fishing :whistling: :w00t:

I had X7 on my bike before and I loved it, upgraded to X0 recently and while there is a difference, I dont think a rider at my level would even notice the difference between X7/9/0 (except for the amount of carbon fiber though )

campy for racing, sram for mountain biking and shimano for fishing

Shimano for racing, Shimano for training, Shimano for wheels and Shimano for fishing.

Welcome to my non mountain biking world.

Not once have those little Japs let me down in any department. They will get my hard earned bucks every time.

WHY???????

From an engineering perspective the man has a point...mine cannibalized itself and didn't stop me when I needed them to.

Literately threw a set of elixir CR's in the bin....
