blesh Posted July 10, 2014 Share I am following the "Banting Diet" and am riding the Jock next week. What supplements (both liquid and snacks) should I be taking. In my previous races I have always used some form of carbo drink plus water and snacked on dates and haver never had a problem. With the new diet I am not too sure what to do. kevin.hockey.90 Posted October 15, 2014 Share The best is to get super starch. The commercial versions are expensive (U starch). Cold patatoes and green bananas (cooked) are examples of super starch. I take race food by 32GI. One is enough for a 50-60 km if you are fat adapted. Need carbs for a fast race to fill on the glycogen stores in your liver. Lots of ideas on Dr Peter Attia's blog.
