IDT is how i do it.. wind scares me .. and it's hectic here atm and because it's so flat here there is no shelter from it

But when I do ride in it.. I make damn sure I stay behind hubby.

Hence your post the other day about hubby's farts? HeHe ^_^ Drafting in the draft!

Wind was howling in pta, bloemfontein and upington today. Even had some hail at 17:00. Apparently beach weather in cape town. Doing an 80 km tide tomorrow. Forecast is 10 km wind tomorrow.

On the mtb, i thank my wide bars and get into a tt position. Nothing eats me like wind. Best resistance training you can get.

I think it is the only time when a heavy road bike will benefit over a light carbon bike.

Does not bother to much .I ride my own pace .It becomes bad when you are trying to stay in a bunch of hardened roadies that ride on top of each other and you do not feel safe riding that close

So decided to go chasing sunrises this morning. Checked the rain forecast last night, put the kit out and dragged myself out of bed at 5am. All good. A bit chilly (well for Durban anyway) and DARK. Anyway get to turn up the first climb and WHOA! Who turned the wind machine on. The next 90 minutes were a trade-off between hell and heaven. 10km/h slower into the wind but 10km/h faster when I turned back downwind. The joys of August training. Oh well at least I got the sunrise pic.
