That's awesome!

 

When the train was coming up to you, were you on the tracks, or alongside them?

 

If long distance trekking is your thing, you may be interested in an Audax or two. http://audaxsa.co.za/

(They are road routes however, not mtb.)

Only 2 pancakes, ate lots for 22 hours, thought I'd be more hungry.

Train hooted for me to move out the way, being a cyclist I had attitude, so he hooted again, I capitulated :mellow:

Well done !Did you train specifically for this .I know the legs and heart will be O,K ,but i am not sure about 17 hours on a saddle

sounds brilliant i would love to do something like that, but my riding partners(mates) are too soft :ph34r: and they would require support staff/wives/creams/ 5 * hotels along the route with spas
