Hi gents

Im building a SS and im not too sure of tyre choices.

Whats popular at the moment

Must have a good grip since we will be riding a lot of switchbacks and there will be quite a bit of technical riding involved.

Thx

Not sure if they're available yet in SA, but have a look at Specialized's Butcher Control (front wheel) and Purgatory Control (back wheel). Both tyres have 650B options. Should offer high grip levels.

Onza Ibex, WTB Vigilante or Schwalbe Hans Dampf (if volume's your thing) for the front, with Onza Canis, WTB Wolverine or Maxxis Ardent on the back would be my call.

Thx gents

Are those maxis ardents super heavy

I like spez in general but find them to be a bit slippery when it gets wet on the single track
