NotSoBigBen Posted January 13, 2020 Share Started up a bike messenger service to keep busy while doing something I enjoy. Had this Giant Seek 'commuter' frame just lying around [emoji41] Used it as a gravel grinder for a while but never liked it for some reason, some narrow bars, flat pedals and 28mm slick tyres setup tubeless and it's a hoot riding it through traffic ... guidodg Posted January 14, 2020 Share I simply love this bike, I would not change anything about it.The AXS Etap is perfect in form and function, the sequential shifting set by the phone app is simply amazing. The gearing is also perfect for my type of riding with some steep short hills which top out at 20% gradients,,,anything other then the 10-33 cassette would be hard to pedal....and I never need to pedal in a Peloton at 55km\hr [who does] so these modern easy gearings are perfect for the majority of riders.Saddle surprised me with the levels of comfort...I have never had a new saddle which kept me comfortable for a 4-5 hr ride without needing any adjustment. The D-fuse seatpost also helps a lot.32mm tires supremely comfy and so far [1500kms] absolutely no problems. At this price with carbon wheels, Sram Force eTap, carbon seatpost and bars, I do not see another bike competing at the price...not even the Canyon The Ouzo, GHOST FACE, Andrew_Smith and 1 other

The Ouzo Posted January 14, 2020 Share yup, Giant saddle..I guess my bum does not agree with its shape. I've got the 11-32 cassette and thinking of changing the 11t for a 10t just for those few extra km/h, I'm a grinder not a spinner so prefer the lower RPMs.
Kai Baird Posted January 16, 2020 Share 3rd of fourth Pic from the bottom,is that the 2018 anthem advanced? (green and black) I have one now. I see you have a dropper? 27.2? What make is it? Looking around, only real option for me - particularly because of usable length and travel- is ks lev. Going to have to drop 6k on one of these bad boys... My collection over 3 years. Adr!@n Posted September 16, 2021 Share Just discovered this thread. I only have one Giant, but I take it everywhere. Photos are from various spots in the Western Cape and one in Lesotho. I've put this bike through hell and currently have a non-colour-matched rear triangle . Has anyone here stripped the paint off a Giant and left it raw? _David_, TheoG, BuffsVintageBikes and 2 others
