I know the Thule range is well known but wanted to know how good the cheaper options compare. I see autostyle for instance has one similar to the Thule for half the price. Does sit lower on the tow bar than alot of others (which can make you feel a bit nervous when looking at the ride mounted) but haven't managed to ground the bike yet so all good! AlanD Posted January 25, 2015 Share I went with the Thule passage 3 strap on rack and very happy with it. A little more pricey but great quality and very sturdy on the car. I bought mine from Makro in October 2014 for R999.My specific model is a two bike stand-on towbar rack, similar to the R4000 Thule's. I think no-one is importing them anymore though..
