As far as marathon racing is concerned, this is a very strong field, Nino, Julian etc, are XC specialist, and in my opinion would never compete for the win anyway, a few stages sure, top step, unlikely.

Sauser and Kulhavy are going to be tough to beat. Without a doubt, the strongest pairing of XCM specialists.

I very much doubt we will ever aee Julian ride the Epic. As for Nino, he will be missed this year, always amzing seeing how strong he is, but I think between his epic and road escapades in the beginning of last yr it effected his XCO so perhaps he has decided to focus solely on XCO this yr. My money is on Platt and Urs. I believe they would have won last year if Karl had not withdrawn. Also I ride a Bulls!!

I like them so much and indeed.. Platt and Urs were in great form last year, such a pity about the injury.

They are holding their cards close to them this year, they are normally already here but nope.. not yet.. didn't they 2 do a 1-2 in last yrs Attakwas?

Just checked. Not quite a 1-2 but very close. Urs smashed the course record. I think he is one of the strongest riders ever to touch this planet. When he is on form there is pretty much no one who can touch him. Going to be excellent to watch. Going to go very early to UCT to get good seats to watch.

Thx.. couldn't remember exactly.

Where is the cannondale team? Missing Fontana and Fumic. They didn't ride last year either, if I am not mistaken?
