Gen Posted February 17, 2015 Share I love it how so many people don't win because of bad luck?? the guy crashed because of bad luck or operator error??might as well say i won't win this year's epic because of bad luck(didn't win a lottery entry)I think at the front end of racing a lot of risks get taken for a little bit of a time advantage, therefore at times that extra risk can lead to a nasty fall.. or bad landing.. this is what happened to Platt last yr. . But that's racing hey.. lady luck can sometimes let you down or smile on you when a competitor gets a mechanical. . Look at all the mechanicals Sauser had last yr, was it poor equipment choice (sacrificing reliability for a couple of grams of weight saving) or just plain bad luck.
