However, it did prove to me how seriously unenthused roadies are about life, joking around and most importantly, riding. The more I acknowledged the spectators, the louder they got. Even the coke stop groupies were awesome. I started at 7 with the Safe Cycling Invitational group rather than 6:20ish as I wanted to be part of something special with 200 riders all showing the same message. Awesome crowd reception.
