Henley 1 Posted April 27, 2015 Share Within weeks after a new water bottle gets used it becomes slimy and smooth on the inside – even with just water and no juices! I found that shaking it with coarse sand and water helps, also diluted JIK solution. But this is a schlepp! What is your secret chemical remover of slime on the inside of your water bottle? SimpleDom Posted April 27, 2015 Share Invest in a bottle brush. Then good old sunlight and hot water works just fine for me. No juice in my bottles though..... ZakAttak, CrankShaft and Mads

Odinson Posted April 27, 2015 Share Slime?! That's quite disgusting. Mine goes into the dishwasher. Alternatively, hot water and dishwashing liquid. A good rinse with Milton once a week should keep the bacteria and so at bay. WR 1.0, Hairy and the nerd
beachless Posted April 27, 2015 Share Buy a few bottles and alternate them so they have time to dry properly between washes. And I use this stuff which sterilises it very well: http://www.thebeerkeg.co.za/catalog/chemicals/perasan-non-rinse-sterilizer-1l-joburg-only.html
