Advice on Tri Bike

Hi All

I am sure this topic has been debated to death, but cant for the life of me track down a thread.

With that said, I am looking for some advice regarding a bike I can use for 70.3 / Ironman and standard Olympic triathlons. I am not looking for a TT bike, but more a 'aero' bike with agents available in Cape Town.

Thus far, I am considering the following 2:

  1. Scott Foil 20
  2. Giant TCR Advanced 2 Compact

Both seem to be in the similar price range (20 - 24k) and offer similar aero frame designs.

Perhaps any other bike I am not considering?

Thanks in advance

Have a look at the Giant Propel Advanced. I believe the Advanced 2 goes for around 25k? Big step up from the TCR. I recently bought the Advanced 0 which provides you with the option to have your shifters on both the TT bars and brake levers. A more expensive option though.

Had a look at the propel 2 and it goes for around R36-40k..

That's strange.  I bought a Propel 0 2 weeks ago for R40k?  When I was phoning around for prices, there was a R5k difference between various shops, but the Propel 2 was definately a fair bit under R30k.
