Scooterza Posted May 6, 2015 Share Hi all As a "cyclist" I have been tasked with helping to organise a spinathon at work to raise come money for charity. There are 12 Technogym spinning bikes available. The basic plan is to have 12 teams of maybe 6 people riding and we want to raise money. We were thinking along the lines of cycling 45 minutes per person (ie 4.5 hours total) but nothing is fixed at present. Having some kind of competitive element to the event would be great as it makes things more exciting. However, the Technogym bikes don't have any kind of wattage measurement (Watt bikes would be great!), and the resistance dial cannot be calibrated to be the same on every bike (plus even if we could, policing it will be a pain and I don't want to have a referee wandering around!) So no idea how to ensure that we are racing like for like. Has anyone got suggestions about how to arrange a fun, challenging spinathon that accomodates fit and fat and raises money. Thanks! Shebeen Posted May 10, 2015 Share Just make it a distance challenge, guys can adjust resistance as they see fit. Proper high cadence spinning!
