Mntboy Posted June 9, 2015 Share thanks man, unfortunately muscle damage as well as degloving, but yeah it shouldn't be too long if I avoid infectionKeep it clean and you should have nothing to worry about. Get well soon! David Messem
G00SE Posted June 9, 2015 Share Oi, those pics. I recon even with elbow pads you would not have got off Scot free, but they would have helped a bit... They would have helped a lot I think..Unless the elbow pads shifted in the fall they would have meant the difference between maybe a bruise, and a "degloved" elbow.I think i am going to start using my elbow pads again after seeing that remfactor
RocknRolla Posted June 9, 2015 Share I have clearly have not had a proper off. My wife on the other hand.... She managed to hug a lamppost after a pedalstrike on a hidden block of concrete. Dislocating vertebrae, concussion and some lekker bruising. Broken helmet et al. Visually not as upsetting as Daniel's injury, but the lack of correct diagnosis from the ER staff was pretty disturbing.

Headshot Posted June 10, 2015 Share Oh ffs I just googled degloved elbow....that's me no dinner tonight,Heal soon dude. Oh yea note to self: always wear your pads! Even if you think it's not hectic run!Definitely better than nothing. My experience with elbow guards was that the one time I needed them and was actually wearing them, they shifted and left me with a bit of a graze anyway. Of course it may have been much worse without them...

Capricorn Posted June 10, 2015 Share She must have scorpioned real hard to have shoe prints on her back. that's just the pattern on her spinal protection and the OP is wrong: she rides with Shimano shoes. Heal up Mr Dave. You messem'd that arm up pretty good. (sorry, couldn't resist) OP must not have such detailed stats on all the riders. I reckon he just likes watching them ride down a mountain and then switch off his TV and go ride his own bike.
