Patchelicious Posted September 14, 2020 Share Nooit ... he just charges you in Pounds And I’ll happily pay him in pounds. He charges too little for his work, I have told him that before. But then you still get the people who try and knock a couple of hundred bucks off here and there. If you need to negotiate a few hundred Rand off an already good price..... Zula Posted September 14, 2020 Share Over the moon with my paint job from Bogus. He replied to all my mails promptly and was a pleasure to deal with. Quality takes time so don't be in a hurry. But that said I think its a very reasonable lead time he gives. JohanDiv, DJR and Patchelicious
JohanDiv Posted September 14, 2020 Share I wonder why he isn't posting anything on Instagram anymore? I see his last post was in December. gummibear

Man with no name Posted September 14, 2020 Share From concept to final product, Anton has outdone himself. This frame was cracked in two places and the rear brake mount had to be completely rebuilt. Andymann Posted September 14, 2020 Share Seeing as we are talking frame resprays, I have a question which I'd like opinion on - my very first proper MTB was a Bianchi Julian Absalom replica. Loved that bike and it's paintjob and rode it until the frame cracked where it was replaced with a Giant XTC frame. I now ride a blank carbon frame from China and would love to have it sprayed - in the old Bianchi colours - including the name. Part of me says that seeing as it's a 29er and the old Bianchi only ever came out in 26er everyone would know it's not genuine so it should be fine, but there's still a nagging feeling that it's not quite the right thing to do.... Comments? Do it! Especially if it's just for yourself. Just don't go and try and sell it as something it's not, which it doesn't sound like you're planning on doing, so I say do it! Eddy Gordo Posted September 14, 2020 Share What about replicating the colours and then maybe use your name or a nic as the name on frame, or leave the name off. Dubber and PhilipV

Andymann Posted September 15, 2020 Share The other thing of course which I wondered about, is the ethical dilemma of the Spraypainter - from what I have read here Bogus seems like a very straight up and down kind of guy - so would he (or any other painter) even consider painting a unbranded frame in Bianchi, or any other Manufactures name for that matter.
