25.4 mm Stem

Good day,

 

I have an older road bike for which I required a shorter stem, but the handlebar diameter is 25.4 mm and al the latest handlebars are oversize so I struggle to get a stem for my bike.

 

Do anybody know if the still manufacture 25mm clamp size stems or where I would be able to purchase such a stem.

i bought an origin8 - 25.4 to 11/8 steerer on line brand new a few months back from amazon as I still use my older ritchey classic bars

check the local bike shops lots have a few older stems under the counter somewhere

if you don't come right I have a 90mm specialised lying around somewhere if that will help

you can pm me

 

or if you are brave you can shim n oversize stem to the bar -although im not recommending it as a good idea- lots of other people do it
