Don't worry we would have ridiculed you forever :P

On a serious note, we waited with the Sheriff to see if you wanted to come with us, and you looked like you were suffering badly, but I wasn't going to kidnap you.

As long as you got home safe that's all that matters.

Thanks a lot. I do appreciate it.

Well done Carpet. You have guts!!

I've never seen someone bleed(turn themselves inside out ) and fighting on like the day we rode with carpet and gang to harties and back, I think she is one of the toughest cyclist I've seen. Notice I didn't say toughest lady,,, she makes most "MEN" look like soft roosters

I stand to be corrected, but I think the Sheriff got closest on 3:03

That's a shame. Seems it all fell apart at the last moment. Was actually pretty excited for the I Team. :(

Hope to be a part of something like this next year though :)

Arrived a bit late for the Circle D meetup, but found a bunch of iTeamers in the chutes. Vincent and I think Cobus(?) and sorry I can't remember the rest's names. There was a larger group a bit further back, but a we moved to the start I lost track of where everyone was. Vincent and the guys started a smaller group that worked well together. I had to maintain momentum up the hills and unfortunately formed gaps. We rode halfway onto M1 and joined a larger group. After that I lost track of the group (around 30km in), but caught up with some other iTeamers (Dominique) and another along the route. From there on I tried riding with other groups where I could.

This was my first time riding in a group and there's a bit of a learning curve. I did enjoy the camaraderie amongst everone. There was a great vibe even though everything didn't work out 100%.

I achieved my goal setting a PB of 03:12:39, improving last year's time by around 29 minutes.

Thanks to tombeej for this initiative, hope you're back on the bike soon.

Have to say that all the prep issued by Tombeej, and others, on riding the wind, echelons etc, really helped me y'day. Once I fell off the I-team, I was a leeward-seeking stealth missile! Rode lots of sneaky 'echelons' off of other random riders and hide against buildings etc, which helped save some energy. Thanks for the lesson, guys!
