Many modern cars have highly complex electronics. If you look at what they do (things like PDC, reversing and top-view cameras, blind spot monitoring, lane assist, automatic high-beam adjustment based on camera input, etc) it's not surprising. Of course they advise that the vehicle's warranty could be void if anyone besides Kia supplies and fits it. Suppose all dealerships 'threaten' in this manner. Damn!
