It has certainly done nothing for my deciphering skills.

It has however taught me that I cant really pinpoint one single reason for riding a spingleseed.

Weird thread, but here goes...

There is something pretty special about simplicity - you just ride.

A rigid fork doubles your arm workout

We have too many gears on our bikes - 1 x 5-7 was probably all we ever needed

was thinking about it the other day while desperately trying to hang on to a group on some seriously corrugated dirt roads...a 1 x 3 will work a treat for getting some speed up on the long stretches.. or even a 2 x 1... with a bigger blade in front...

Something BigBen could probably pull off.

the enjoyment factor is off the charts......

my biggest lesson was how important it is to keep your momentum at the beginning of the climb.

instead of slacking off to save energy, you have got to give it horns just to make it.

then i added a rigid fork....and my bike changed. the feeling of connectedness and acceleration is mindblowing.

I strongly urge those who haven't tried it to give it a bang.
