Stretch Posted December 8, 2015 Share Alex - absolutely superb race. we all enjoyed it thoroughly. during the course of the 100 page thread dedicated to the race we discussed ways to make us even more up to date with what was going on. The tracker was brilliant but sometimes we were left wondering what was going on because a popup went transparent or slowed or stopped. GU was a classic example. As spectators we were wanting to know - is it a mechanical? has he stopped to rest? it would be great to have some students on motor bikes setup between position 1 and position last to take photos - relay information - even if there is no cell coverage then two-way radio's could be used to a central communication centre..more regular twitter updates is what we were after. The best part of the whole race was the lack of the glitz and glam as we see in all these stage races. The shorter timeframe when compared with the FC made it way more compelling and we were all glued to our screens for 5 solid days..and that is in your advantage. I realise of course, you need sponsors and I know the dream is to attract a sponsor for that big prize...but please dont lose sight of the fact that one of the great things about this was the lack of big corporate showing off its plumage. Next year you are going to have 2 or 3 times the entrants.....its going to be interesting to see how you approach it...best of luck and job well done cat-i, jcza, nathrix and 12 others

Shebeen Posted December 8, 2015 Share great race Alex. There were some doubters beforehand with 'only' 43 entries, but I think it came together quite well. Hopefully a big sponsor can help grow it, let's just hope it doesn't lose it's identity along the way.
