Our woodwork teacher frequently had bandages on his hands...  :P

He is a f..ing idiot.... and should not be teaching woodwork....

Possibly, i am sure there is lots of room for improvement. But the tech is awesome either way.

Watch the demo of the owner doing a real live demo with his finger.... damn impressive - as is the cost to fix the saw afterwards... but good value indeed compared to losing 1 or more fingers.

I am in the market for a cordless drill. However I want to be able to, not necessarily, use it on the bicycle as well as drill. Any recommendations?

Bosch blue / Makita / Metabo. One with an adjustable clutch torque setting, so that you can adjust the torque way down and then finish tightening with a torque wrench. A basic drill / driver should do the job nicely.

If Bosch, go with the GSB instead of the GSR as it has a hammer function.

Damn, those gsb are out of ny budget. I dont need something that advanced as I most likely wont use it all that often.

These are what i looked at

I like the makita cordless drill but after pricing battery and charger it become too costly.

Then I saw this

Anyone have experience with mac africa tools?

https://www.adendorff.co.za/product/mac-afric-18v-cordless-screw-driver-60-nm/

I have only bought hand tools from them and the qaulity is very good.

I bought this one:

https://www.adendorff.co.za/product/mac-afric-18v-impact-cordless-screw-driver/

At the price I have no regrets. Came with a bazillion bits and some drills that I'll probably never use (I have a Starrett set that I use), but the Bosch/Makita/Metabo etc were way above my pay grade... if I was using it every day then a different story. I use mine about once a week at the moment and no issues.

Awesome, will settle one of two. How much nm on your model. The one I posted goes up to 60, but cant find any details on this one.

No idea. Will look on the box. I bought it mainly to drive screws etc and drill the odd hole (more as a convenience tool). I still use my corded Bosch GSB16RE to do the steel fabrication holes if it can't be drilled in the pedestal drill and I have an old Bosch blue rotary hammer for masonry.

My Adendorff unit only has a 10mm chuck though where as your link is 13mm if I recall?

Does the unit also have a clutch function like the bosch drills?

If you are asking what I think you are asking, it will "slip" depending on your torque settings. Handy for driving screws into timber (Which is mainly what I use it for).

You set the torque quite low on pine for example and it stops you stripping the threads or driving the screw too deep.

Dunno how I missed this. But ja, i use my bosch for the heavy duty stuff. However, need a cordless one as my previous cheapy is now dead after about 10years. Nogals a game special. I want something with more oomph as I will use it at work on the odd occassion cause then power tools here are never where they supposed to be. Will go check them both next week and decide.
