CJ Van Posted May 21, 2021 Share Not 100% woodwork related but it does have a connection to woodworking. I recently made this bag for someone on here. In return I received all the wooden hardware for a leg vice and a moxon vice for a new workbench I still have to build. Unfortunately my workbench will not look like his when it is done. Anyway, hopefully my leather work looks better than my workbench will. Eddy Gordo, Stretched@Birth, Steven Knoetze (sk27) and 7 others

Most of them are minimalist wallets that take about 4 cards and some notes like the once in the pic below. I am not a fan of the bifold wallet so I have not spend the time and effort to create a template for something like that yet. I have some ideas for different wallets. If you have something specific in mind drop me a pm and we can chat. Should not be to difficult to create a template and make a different wallet to someone's requirements. I recently received much finer thread and stitching irons so I could make something that looks a bit more refined as well. I'm a little ham-handed sometimes which spells doom in woodwork 100% of the time. it's a real pain to keep swapping the jaws, so i need to plan the whole process so I don't keep swapping. I may just end up with a second chuck - it's less fuss and I'll save more time than it's worth Creative Turning has some goodies waiting for me Rocket-Boy

Even on special they cost R4.5k so not going to happen anytime soon. Do you do any other kinds of turning? I enjoy all woodwork, but turning is definitely my favorite. PhilipV Posted May 21, 2021 Share Ploeg met 'n ander man se kalwers. @CJ Van isn't just a half decent leather artisan, he also does woodwork. He made this for me. One of the handles he made earlier split, so he made a new one out of oak. Only this time he didn't turn it, he used a plane. Edited May 21, 2021 by PhilipV Tried to get the photos right way up. But alas. Long Wheel Base, Hairy, carrera4s and 2 others

That Easy Wood chuck looks great. Be easier to just get another chuck at that price. I do bowls as well and recently picked up a few lemon tree stumps that I want to turn into something interesting. Turning cast epoxy excites me, but the investment is quite high. Perhaps in time. I am also an aspiring to make guitars. Again, the investment in the tools needed is proving prohibitive Rocket-Boy
