Tokai 2016 reopening

The AM trails looks sick. Is it new? I've only been to tokai once since it opened again. We only hit cobra, mamba and boomslang followed by dh2 and 3 which were all sick!

No, all virtually on the same lines as before the fire, with here and there a small deviation. But, yes, they are great, with a LOT more flow now.

I forgot how long DH3 use to be. This is the bottom half (still closed) being worked on at the last build day. Its essentially the same track with mostly restoration work of the line and old features. But new features are added too and some of the older ones you remember are a little more spicy now.

Where is the leather whip for when he starts slacking off?

I have not been back to Tokai since that dreaded day...

This is kind of in the air, but thanks to all who helped rebuild.

It's appreciated, and I hope I can give back too, somehow, someway.

Just hope to never have to do it in Tokai again, in this life.

Kudos to all

Wasn't necessary. That stump must have said something and he just took it personally.

I was just standing there watching him go full on Kunta Kinte.

Get that stump Kunta...and maybe someday...I'll teach you how to read!

Just a word of caution.

Always wear eye protection when chopping wood. It's never pretty when a wood chip decides to lodge itself in your cornea.

yeh, should have been wearing some... Will definitely do that next time.

  • 2 weeks later...

We rode the newly opened section of Vasbyt this morning

Thanks to those that volunteered their time and effort (and sweat and blood) to make it happen.

Chatted to Deon at the bottom and left Tokai feeling excited about it's future.

Well done guys - very stoked
