dirtrider Posted August 26, 2016 Share Rain and water will not damage your Brookes if you treat it with the stuff provided . My Brookes has been under water , through rain and snow and is still awesome .

Skylark Posted August 26, 2016 Share Those saying that you find Brooks saddles very comfortable do you have lots of meat padding your ass bones? A good test to check that is to sit on a plain wooden bench, if you have no padding it'll feel rather painful.
mtb impi Posted August 26, 2016 Share I would not ride any other saddle, but a BROOKS! You get what you pay for; - super quality leather upper (or cambium), and a all round quality product rounded off with copper rivets, - nice bike porn too, me thinks! It also makes me want to believe my saddle went through the hands of an artisan. I love it. Only negative (to me) was the two eyelets at the back of the saddle for attaching a BROOKS saddle bag. I dont have a dropper post, so first time I went sliding over the back of the saddle I got myself slightly cut on the upper leg when I got back onto the saddle. Back home I took pliers and bent the eyelets slightly inwards. Problem solved. Edited August 26, 2016 by mtb impi Skylark and henningvr

Eldron Posted August 1, 2017 Share My commuter here in Denmark came with a Brooks and I don't like it. We have shared many miles and still argue (the Brooks wins wvwry time). Give me a Ragley saddle any day of the week over a Brooks. That said - saddles are really personal - a thread like this might show the general popularity of a saddle but you'll only know if it is for you when you get your arse on it. Jewbacca Posted August 1, 2017 Share Why can't someone wear short socks? I sometimes wonder if having a killer #sockgame and having an #onpoint or #fleek outfit these days is more important than riding your dam bike. Brooks saddles are rad if cared for and tensioned properly. But like wide bars, long sleeve riding lycra shirts and craft beer that tastes like cloves and donkey wee, opinions are just that. A personal preference and a choice. I STILL don't know what a 'trully' is though... If we can maybe sort that out we can get back to the standing on a mountain bit... avatar Posted August 1, 2017 Share I got a brooks swallow brand new last week, put it on and went for my first ride... On my roadbike I ride a fizik arione R1 and that thing is quite a hard ride, but that brooks was like sitting on a railwayline! I guess that little spanner you get with the kit is so that you can loosen the tension and get a slightly better ride in the beginning and then tighten it as the leather stretches?? anyway it looks dope so im not taking it off
