BDF Posted August 28, 2016 Share Interestingly..... From a world wide perspective the lowest recorded hr is known, but not the highest..... Lowest is 26 and before this was 28 belonging to Migual Indurain. When recording max hr it's important that it's a steady hr for a few seconds and not a short spike.Agreed. I use at least a 10 second peak rate for max HR.
DominionZA Posted August 28, 2016 Share Agreed. I use at least a 10 second peak rate for max HR.Edited mine down then. I get quick peaks at 164, but seldom go above 160.

carbon29er Posted August 28, 2016 Share No but seriously? Somehow undead hubbers are more believable to me. I hope it's either a typo or a malfunctioning of HR recording equipment  Like riding downhill alongside a working Eskom power line? Before I switched to a life-beam optic sensor in my helmet my Garmin belt regularly gave readings of 240+ when speeding downhill. Now I know going down is exciting but.... Christofison Posted August 28, 2016 Share Can that max be right? ????????Like I said, he is abnormal and should probably see a doctor. He consistently hits 240bpm at XC races. Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk

'Kaze Pete Posted August 28, 2016 Share To show how old age gets to us....I calculated Heart Rate Reserve/Range (Max - Min) and 5year age grouping. Divided HRR by age for the one column and then the avg HRR per 5year band for the other Edited August 28, 2016 by 'Kaze Pete Robodog
