ScottCM Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 I imagine you think he made up 5 minutes over 2 stages last year because he changed his crank length? Honestly, there's nothing suspicious about Nibali and those paragons of a clean peloton Astana? Remind me of your views on the oft trotted out line: I've never tested positive. I apologize, i totally got my threads mixed up. i Thought you were referring to Froome, hence the question. No i wouldn't be surprised if years down the line the results are overturned, as with anything Astana or Vino related I have given up on. Just look how useless Landa became once moving over to the marginal doping, TUE abusing Skyborgs. Unfortunately we live in a society that nothing anymore should surprise us. Like others have said, lets watch the show and enjoy, especially seen as Valverde isn't there.
Nibali Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 I'll remember you said that on the next SKY thread Haha, can't recall that I'm one of the Hubbers defending/accusing/speculating about SKY... But please do remind me if I do! Will be like riding into a snow bank...
Shebeen Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 had a look see at the betting odds Quintana is even money the rest is made up of Nibbles 5/1, special K 8/1, Geraint 10/1 and then a bunch(pinot/landa/yates/dumoulin/mollema) down to 18/1. That is a serious favourite's tag on the colombian.

ScottCM Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Pierre Rolland at 200/1 damn now thats an outside bet worth a punt

jcza Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Pierre Rolland at 200/1 damn now thats an outside bet worth a punt Its 200/1 for a reason If Nairo, Thomas, Landa, Tom D, Yates, Pozzo, Nibs & Pinot all fail to finish then maybe a slim chance. He also needs to beat Rusty and Carthy of course.

Mntboy Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Pierre Rolland at 200/1 damn now thats an outside bet worth a puntLet's just say that would be one helluva good call, if he does in fact pull off the win. I am assuming that the odds are for winning. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
GrumpyOldGuy Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Pierre Rolland at 200/1 damn now thats an outside bet worth a puntI have always kind of liked Pierre Rolland, however he never really seems to live up to his promise. A bit like Roberto Uran. Maybe this year. When Nibali burst on the scene with his first Giro win I kinda liked him, but he seemed to fall off the wagon a bit thereafter and has been under a bit of a cloud ever since, maybe this Giro will be his redeemer. Its not that I dont think he is capable of a win this year, I just think its unlikely against the quality of the likes of Quintana, but without the other real big names he should podium, just probably not top step.

I think the odds in cycling are much more spread out as it's much less predictable (or shall we say, unforseen crashes can change the landscape). The leicester win would be similiar to the 2006 oscar pereirro tour victory.

Thats because he is the GOG of the peloton
Patchelicious Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Yates at 18 must be worth a punt Im with you there. Will just need to check with Gen first, to make sure Im not making a noob mistake.
