Henryfeather Posted October 29, 2016 Share Hi guys A quick question.Currently on my Cotic I run a 32 up front and a 16 at the back I'm contemplating a 34 up front but am considering an oval chainring.Have any of you attempted it and with what results.Thnx
King_Crispy Posted October 29, 2016 Share 34x16 will be too heavy for most. Unless you're green and they call you Hulk. I bought a 32 oval the other day from Kiwi but have yet to test it. I've heard only good things about the ovals on SS. 32x17 should be a good mix
Guest Posted October 29, 2016 Share Shouldn't be a problem. Go for it.
NINER_boy Posted October 30, 2016 Share It's been done many times before. Just set your chain tension at the ovals's highest point. Hav fun riding SS

Christofison Posted October 30, 2016 Share This works fine if you have a chain tensioner. If not, then you want to top length of chain to be as parallel to the bottom as possible. Ie, get the smallest oval ring you can find so that you can have a slightly larger sprocket on the back. Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk
